I’m ready to take a break from Friday Random Tens for a while. I think my Thursday Short Poems serve a purpose, and I like being an evangelist for verse in general and specific poets in particular. But I’m not entirely sure that everyone needs to know my musical taste, at least as determined by what comes up when I hit the shuffle feature on the iPod.
There may be more FRTs in the future, but not until summer is gone. For now, a valedictory FRT to celebrate, if nothing else, the tenth anniversary (today) of my last drink of alcohol.

We don’t need to know your thoughts on feminism or veganism either, but it all helps flesh out (so to speak) your personality, which is generally part and parcel of having a blog in the first place.
Besides, it’s kind of fun to have comparisons for silly things like musical preferences (also part of the whole blog thing).
Well, look for the FRT to return at the end of the summer. It just is going on a hiatus, as this blog will do in August.
Why is the blog going on hiatus in August? Can’t you do it in July while I’m in London?
I go on hiatus when I go on vacation, and with summer school ending at the end of July, that means a nice rest in August. But hey, there are a gazillion other blogs to read.
