My point about flirtatiousness was exactly that -- it&#039;s socialized, and that&#039;s why I don&#039;t take it as evidence of any real desirability on my part.  It&#039;s a response to a society that doesn&#039;t take young women seriously unless they behave in certain prescribed ways.</description>

I strongly doubt narcissism is clouding your view here, but it is likely that women are socialized to be flirtatious (for lots of different reasons and possibly even unconsciously) and are therefore sending inaccurate signals.</description>
