Personally, I think this is a perfect example of completely and utterly overdoing the whole personal is political mantra. From all sides of all aisles there are.
I’m late to this one, but I keep wondering how much of the bad reaction to this has to do with marriage itself and how much has to do with its announcement in the New York Times and the overtones of classism.
